PCG: Personnel of Coast Guard Sub Station Boracay, Philippine Navy, Philippine National Police Malay, and 605th PNP Maritime BoracayCaticlan Police successfully retrieved a floating cadaver at 1.9 nautical miles West of Nasog Point. BrgyNasog Malay Aklan, 4 A.M. last Saturday, March 3.

Upon receiving reports from Philippine Navy Base that a floating cadaver was sighted at the said vicinity, Coast Guard Caticlan immediately coordinated with PNP Malay, PNP Maritime Group, and Coast Guard Sub Station Boracay and proceeded to the said area to conduct retrieval operation.

Subsequently, the cadaver was successfully recovered by the joint team operations and the victim was identified as Mr Sabino Casimero, 40 years old and a resident of two locations: Sitio Hambil Carabao Island and Brgy Bolabog, Boracay Island, Malay Aklan.

Investigation revealed that the said victim accidentally fell off from their capsized motor banca and went missing at one nautical mile away from Bolabog Boracay Island last Feb 26, 2018 around 8:30 A.M.

The victim was identified by his sister, MrsAurellaCasimerordela Cruz and relatives. He was wearing maong short with yellow and gray stripe t-shirt, and in the state of decomposition.

The cadaver was brought to Socion Funeral Homes in Sambiray, Malay Aklan for proper disposition.
