Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, CG Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya has lauded the OB Montessori led by Auxiliary Commodore Sara Soliven – de Guzman of the PCG Auxiliary (PCGA) for its all-out assistance to the PCG Task Force Kalinga on its ongoing humanitarian and disaster response operations.

CG Admiral Laroya has activated the PCG Task Force Kalinga headed by CG Rear Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan to conduct massive relief transport missions in typhoon-stricken regions across the country.

Since 17 December 2021, the OB Montessori has donated tons of family tents, hygiene supplies, household essentials, food packs, medicines, and purified drinking water. The said educational institution was the first partner stakeholder that extended assistance to the PCG Task Force Kalinga. It occurred immediately after the onslaught of Typhoon #OdettePH.

The Philippine Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (CGETDC) has recognized Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course (CGNOC) Class 86 – 2021 “SAGLAB MASINDAK”, composed of 610 trainees, at the Regional Training Center Bataan yesterday, 21 January 2022.

CGETDC Commander, CG Commodore Eustacio Nimrod P Enriquez Jr graced the ceremony. He congratulated the trainees and urged them to maximize their learning opportunities at the training center in preparation for their deployment to support the PCG in the fulfillment of its mandates to the Filipino nation. 

Health and safety protocols were strictly observed during the recognition rites.

Siniyasat ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Task Force Bayanihan Returning Overseas Filipinos (TF-BROF) ang Operations Center (OPCEN) ng Task Group Bantay Bayanihan (TGBB) sa Pasay City, na nakatalaga upang masiguro na ang mga Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) at Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) ay mahigpit na sumusunod sa mga alituntunin at quarantine protocols ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

Ang TGBB ay bahagi ng One-Stop-Shop for the Management of Repatriating Overseas Filipinos (OSS-MROF) at kaakibat ng iba't-ibang mga ahensya ng gobyerno katulad ng Department of Tourism (DOT), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), at ang kapulisan ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

Tagubilin ni Secretary of Transportation ATTY. ARTHUR P TUGADE sa PCG na gawin ang lahat ng makakaya para masuportahan ang operasyon ng ating pamahalaan laban sa COVID-19 pandemic. Ito ay mariing ipinaabot ni PCG Commandant, CG ADMIRAL LEOPOLDO V LAROYA sa hanay ng TF-BROF.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) extends its gratitude to Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Carlos Dominguez III for approving the donation of 6,357.8 LITERS OF UNMARKED FUEL that were seized by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in Arayat, Pampanga in September 2021 to the PCG.

PCG Spokesperson, CG Commodore Armando A Balilo said the donation will significantly aid the ongoing humanitarian and disaster response operations of the Task Force Kalinga.

As of today, 21 January 2022, PCG vessels and air assets have transported a total of 1,637.3 tons of relief goods.

The Philippine Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (CGETDC) held the RECOGNITION RITES of the Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course (CGNOC) Class 85 – 2021 “BAGSIK-LAYA”, composed of 573 male trainees, at the Regional Training Center Zamboanga on 18 January 2022.

During the ceremony, CGETDC Deputy Commander, CG Commodore Roben N De Guzman, said the “recognition rites” holds the essence of a Candidate Coast Guard Non-Officer’s victory over one's desire to quit from the hardship of training.

“It stands for overcoming the great temptation to resign. Being recognized, a Candidate Coast Guard Non-Officer acknowledges oneself before the world that one has mastered oneself and accepted the life of followership and most importantly, the life of Coast Guard service,” he added.
