Immediately, CGSS Araceli, together with Bantay Dagat, proceeded to the said vicinity to conduct joint rescue operations.
Around 2:55 pm, Mbca Chesca Alyssa was spotted and rescued six nautical miles west of Barangay Calandagan, Palawan.
Initial investigation revealed that Mbca Chesca Alyssa departed at Barangay Osmena enroute to Barangay Araceli, Palawan when it encountered heavy rain, strong winds and big waves that caused the boat to take in water and subsequently half submerged.
The motor boat was safely towed around 4:10 pm to Barangay Calandagan together with the two rescued persons that were escorted to the health center of said barangay for medical assistance.
Both were found to be in good physical condition
