PCG: Elements of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Claveria continues searching for a 14 year old boy who went missing while swimming with his relatives yesterday in Cagayan.

The victim identified as Genghis Dascil was believed to have drowned around 1:00 pm at the vicinity waters near Pamplona Bridge.

The incident was reported by a certain Jun Dascil, 39 years old, of  Barangay Dascil, Pamplona to CGSS Claveria.

It was reported that around 12 noon of the same date, the victim was swimming with Charles Dascil, 18 years old and Dhel Dascil, 14 years old along the vicinity waters of Pamplona Bridge when he suddenly disappeared. 

Immediately, the personnel of CGSS Claveria, together with civilian volunteers, conducted search and rescue operations for Genghis but was cancelled due to zero visibility prevailing at the area.

The team coordinated with the barangay officials, banca operators and fisher folks in the area to be on the look-out for possible sightings of the alleged missing child.
