The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) K9 Field Operating Unit Southwestern Mindanao augmented the interception of 500 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as “shabu” at the cargo area of an airline company in Zamboanga City on 08 August 2022.
Coast Guard Working Dog (CGWD) Bunny detected the said contraband with an estimated market value of Php 3.4 million.
Based on the investigation, the package was shipped by a certain Farhana Maddih from Basilan and was supposed to be received by a certain Dayana Ismael from Quezon City.
The package was turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region IX for further investigation and proper disposition.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) also assisted in the conduct of the said operation.
