Humigit-kumulang 600 recruits ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang sumabak pagsasanay sa PCG Regional Training Center Zamboanga na matatagpuan sa San Ramon, Zamboanga City kahapon, ika-19 ng Oktubre 2021.

Sa training na ito na tatagal ng anim na buwan, hahasain ang 573 recruits sa military drills, basic soldiery, at customs and traditions ng PCG.

Sasailalim din sila sa pagsasanay patungkol sa mga mandato ng serbisyo, partikular ang pagpapatupad ng maritime law enforcement, maritime security, maritime safety, search and rescue, at marine environmental protection.

Iniligtas ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang dalawang batang muntik malunod dahil sa malakas na alon sa katubigan ng Barangay Rawis, Calbayog City, Samar noong ika-11 ng Oktubre 2021.

Nang mapag-alaman ang insidente mula sa isang concerned citizen, agad na pinuntahan ng dalawang PCG rescue personnel ang nabanggit na katubigan.

Gamit ang life line rope, nailigtas ang dalawang bata. Tumulong din sa rescue operation ang concerned citizen na kinilalang si Mr. Bernie Dumagis.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has appointed seven community leaders and boat operators in Batangas as the newest members of the 502nd Auxiliary Squadron under the PCG District Southern Tagalog today, 15 October 2021.

These Auxiliarists are tasked to organize and lead Coastal Community Auxiliary Divisions (CCADs) in their respective areas of responsibility that are mandated to monitor and report illegal maritime activities; act as first responders during maritime emergencies and disasters; and implement sustainable livelihood projects in their respective coastal communities:

1) Auxiliarist Elmer Mendezabal – Sta. Clara to San Pascual, Batangas

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) have strengthen their partnership for the development of the Coast Guard's human resources through the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) today, 15 October 2021.

Leading the signing ceremony were PCG Commandant, CG Vice Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya, and PMMA Superintendent, Commodore Joel Abutal that occurred during the 120th anniversary celebration of the PCG.

“The PMMA has been our dependable partner in the development of our human resources. As a matter of fact, some of our key officers holding relevant positions were graduates of the institution, while some officers manning our ships also graduated from PMMA under the PCG - PMMA cadetship program,” CG Vice Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya said.

Simula kahapon, ika-19 ng Oktubre 2021, nag-deploy ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ng mga bus para maserbisyuhan ang dumaraming pasahero ng EDSA busway.

Ayon kay Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (I-ACT) Chief Manuel Gonzales, inaasahan ang pagdagsa ng mga pasahero sa EDSA kasunod ng mas maluwag na Alert Level 3 sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Kahapon, mahigit 600 pasahero ang naisakay ng PCG buses.
