The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has inaugurated its new and upgraded πππππ πππππ πππππππ ππππππππ ππππππ πππππ in Pag-asa Island today, 01 December 2023.
The newly inaugurated three-story Coast Guard Station Kalayaan building will have advanced maritime domain awareness technology such as radar, automatic identification, satellite communication, coastal cameras, and vessel traffic management.
PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan, said these state-of-the-art systems will significantly enhance the PCG's capability to monitor the movements of foreign maritime forces, as well as public vessels and aircraft.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has thanked the civil society for supporting PCG troops deployed in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Coast Guard Spokesperson, CG Rear Admiral Armando Balilo, shared that the PCG is overwhelmed by the many calls offering its personnel gifts, essential goods, clothes, and medicine.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has intercepted over Php 1 million worth of illicit cigarettes (700 reams) on board a white premium van at Balwharteco Port, Looc, Allen, Northern Samar, on 27 November 2023.
During a random paneling inspection, a Coast Guard K9 working dog confirmed it positive, indicating the white premium van contained boxes of cigarettes.
The undocumented cigarettes originated from Davao City going to Cubao, Quezon City.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has responded to a maritime incident near Ambulong Island, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro yesterday, 29 November 2023, at 8PM.
MV Chacha 101, a cargo fish carrier en route from San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, to Calandagan, Palawan, encountered engine trouble.
The distressed vessel was immobilized around five nautical miles west of Ambulong Island due to a cooling system failure.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted the initial phase of the PCG Transformational Plan through Performance Governance System (PGS) in Makati City today, 30 November 2023.
The PGS is a holistic and collaborative framework that designs, executes, and sustains roadmaps for the transformation of the organization to become the highly capable, effective, and credible guardian of the sea that is respected, and trusted by the maritime community and stakeholders.
The initiative is in line with Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautistaβs marching order that calls for a transformational strategy and prioritizing good governance.
