The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)'s BRP Cape San Agustin (MRRV-4408) conducted a medical evacuation for three ailing residents from Dinagat Islands to Surigao City on 13 January 2022.

The patients were identified as Alfir Gemao of Barangay Magsaysay, Mario Lamotos of Barangay Basilisa, and Nora Canoy of Barangay San Jose in Dinagat Islands.

Two patients suffered from stroke, while the third patient needed immediate dialysis.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), through the Task Force Kalinga, has transported 40 tons of relief supplies to Puerto Princesa and El Nido, Palawan yesterday, 14 January 2022.

PCG District Palawan Commander, CG Captain Angel Z Viliran welcomed BRP Gabriela Silang (OPV-8301) from Manila carrying solar lights, generator sets, mattresses, medicines, sacks of rice, canned goods, and other essential supplies accumulated at the PCG Donation Hub from various humanitarian organizations, private sectors, and government agencies / officials.

CG Captain Viliran said the donations will be turned over to the Palawan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) for immediate distribution to recovering families who are currently staying in temporary evacuation centers and those who recently returned to reconstruct their damaged homes.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) condemns the recent killing of 23-year-old CG Apprentice Seaman (ASN) Angelo V Martinez of the PCG District Southern Tagalog by an unidentified gunman in Sual, Pangasinan on 11 January 2022.

PCG District Southern Tagalog Commander, CG Commodore Genito B Basilio expressed his sincere condolences to the bereaved family of CG ASN Martinez whom he remembered as a trustworthy staff and a son who set aside his personal plan to fulfill his dreams and aspirations for his parents.

“He will not be able to achieve his dreams and aspirations anymore as he was ruthlessly slayed by a still unknown gunman. Rest in peace, CG ASN Angelo Martinez. My snappy salute to you. Salamat sa serbisyo mo sa bayan, anak,” CG Commodore Basilo furthered.

Kahapon, ika-11 ng Enero 2022, nakiisa ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Northeastern Mindanao sa pamamahagi ng relief packs para sa mga pamilyang bumabangon sa epekto ng Bagyong #OdettePH, partikular sa Dinagat Islands at Surigao del Norte na bahagi ng Caraga region.

Dumating ang anim na malalaking containers na naglalaman ng iba't-ibang donasyon mula Maynila papuntang Caraga sakay ng isa sa mga barko ng PHIL SPAN ASIA na kabahagi ng Task Force Kalinga sa malawakang relief transport mission nito.

Sa kasalukuyan, humigit-kumulang 2,000 tonelada na ng relief goods at critical supplies ang naihatid ng PCG, PCG Auxiliary (PCGA), at mga katuwang na shipping companies sa mga rehiyong nasalanta ng nagdaang kalimidad kabilang ang MiMaRoPa, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, at Caraga.

Gamit ang BRP Cape Engaño (MRRV-4411), mabilis na naihatid ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and 100 piraso ng medical gas tanks mula sa Department of Health (DOH) para sa suportahan ang laban kontra-COVID-19 ng Palawan Provincial Health Office (PHO).

Samantala, mahigit 50 kahon ng medical supplies naman ang tinurn over sa PCG District Palawan mula sa PCG Medical Service para sa kaligtasan ng mga frontline personnel sa kasagsagan ng pandemya.
